Bossa Studios has raised $10 million to develop the role-playing MMO Worlds Adrift, which promises players to travel through a seamless world.
The venture investor Atomico and the investment company London Venture Partners invested in the Bossa Studios project.
The game space in Worlds Adrift is supported by the SpatialOS cloud technology from the British company Improbable. SpatialOS allows you to simulate vast worlds with millions of individually created objects in real time.
It is assumed that in Worlds Adrift, gamers will not only explore the game universe, but also fill it with content themselves, building airships, fortresses and flying islands that make up the role-playing game world.
This approach will allow Bossa Studios to reduce the size of the game development team, since part of the creative functions will be taken over by the project audience.
