Turnover MMO games in Russia
Traditionally, WebMoney Transfer and PayMaster do not give an estimate of the MMO games market in Russia in numbers. However, according to these services, seasonal revenue growth was 3.5%.
It can be explained by both high New Year’s Eve indicators and an increase in the number of payments during the January holidays.
However, compared with the same indicators a year earlier, the market’s revenue showed a drop of 11%.
Average check MMO games in Russia
The situation around the average check is also ambiguous. Compared to the fall of 2017, it fell by 6%. This is quite understandable, given the increase in the number of small purchases for the holidays by the unemployed audience (schoolchildren, students).
But at the same time, the annual growth was 25%, reaching 846 rubles ($ 14.8). This cannot be explained by the change in the exchange rate of the ruble against the dollar. Based on the average exchange rate for the winter of 2016-2017, the average check in MMO games a year earlier in Russia was $11.3.
