The Swedish indie company Stillfront Group has acquired the Irish studio eRepublik Labs, known for the Age of Lords mobile strategy — the ideological heiress of the Game of War studio Machine Zone.

The transaction amount was €7.5 million ($8.3 million).

Stillfront Group buys 100% of eRepublik Labs shares from majority and minority shareholders.

Of the €7.5 million, Stillfront will make a cash payment of €4 million, and will pay the remaining €3.5 million in its own shares.

eRepulbik Labs studio has created and supports such games as Age of Lords and World at War: WW2 Strategy MMO. The developer also owns the browser strategy of the same name eRepublik.

Last December, Stillfront Group bought the Arab publisher Babil Games for $17 million in installments.
