Tencent Corporation intends to invest about ¥100 million ($ 15.8 million) in the promotion of the popular online action movie Fortnite in China. Epic Games’ game hit officially launched in China on April 23.

Tencent will use the allocated funding to organize tournaments and attract streamers to create new content for Fortnite.

Along with Fortnite, Tencent also officially publishes its main competitor, PLAYERUNKNOWN BATTLEGROUNDS, in China.
