How much the digital games market, the Asian mobile games market, as well as the three leading box office games on iOS/Android have earned, experts from Superdata told.

Superdata - Clash of Clans по итогам 2014 года заработает $1,8 млрд

The American analytical company Superdata recently published a voluminous infographic on the results of the current year in the digital games market. You can learn a lot of interesting figures from it, both about the digital PC retail market and similar sales of console games. Of course, we are interested in something completely different – the mobile market, but about everything in order.

Global sales of digital games by the end of this year will amount to $49 billion.

The company does not specify exactly how much the mobile games market will have, but it shares that the Asian mobile games market will overcome the $11 billion mark. By the way, in May, Superdata experts assured that the mobile games market would grow to $21.6 billion.

Against this background, the financial results of three well-known mobile games look even more interesting.

Actually, Superdata claims that Clash of Clans‘ revenues this year will amount to an astronomical $1.8 billion. Puzzle & Dragons is in second place in terms of revenue – with $1.5 billion. The “royal” Candy Crush Saga earned “only” $1 billion.

For comparison, the total digital sales of PC games and consoles in total give only $6.8 billion.

From the interesting: the average income from a mobile gamer from the first to the third quarters of this year fell in contrast to the cost of installations. But it’s not entirely clear what mark the company took for 100%, so we recommend just looking at the “columns” reflecting the general trend. They can be found on the infographic, which is just below:
