She is preparing several mobile projects at once. According to the management, these will be high-quality titles in visual and technical terms. The studio hopes to reveal details about the debut games at the end of 2020, writes Pocket Gamer.
Wild Games is located in Stockholm. Its co—founder and CEO is Robert Wasser, formerly the head of DICE development. He worked in the latter for 13 years. The staff of the new studio is only six people. One of them is a monetization specialist, former Paradox Interactive developer Heikki Joas. Another Wild Games employee, artist Carlos Kwasek (Carlos Villarreal Kwasek), also came from DICE.
The studio has been working for a little more than two months. Nevertheless, Supercell responded positively to her request for investment. First of all, the Finnish developer was attracted by the experience of Wild Games participants. “We are delighted to support a team of true industry veterans,” Supercell said. – (Usually) we invest in game studios with exceptional potential and ambitions sufficient to create extraordinary games.” According to Supercell, Wild Games has all the prerequisites for this.
Let’s add that Supercell has already invested money in teams it knows well. For example, $2.9 million in Scandinavian indie Shipyard Games. Another indie developer who received an investment from Supercell is Redemption Games.
