The company Sperasoft, whose development studios are located in St. Petersburg and Volgograd, was acquired by the service provider Keywords Studios for $ 27 million.

Most of the amount – $22 million – will immediately go to the owners of Sperasoft. Another $1 million, as well as the remaining amount in Keywords Studios shares, will be paid a year after the completion of the transaction.

The founders of Sperasoft – Igor Efremov, Alexey Kudryashov and Mark Rizzo, according to the terms of the deal, remain in the company.

Sperasoft was founded in 2004. She specializes in game outsourcing: she participated in the development of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, FIFA series, as well as games such as League of Legends, Star Wars: Battlefront and Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Today it has 400 employees. The company’s head office is located in Santa Clara, it also has divisions in Austin and Vancouver. The development studios are located in St. Petersburg, Volgograd and Krakow.

Keywords Studios is a group of companies consisting of 39 studios, which also specializes in helping to develop third–party projects. Her portfolio includes such projects as For Honor, Uncharted 4, Bloodborn, Halo 5, Watch Dogs 2. The company’s head office is located in Dublin.
