The Finnish studio Small Giant Games has received $ 41 million in investments for the further development of its successful title — a mobile puzzle with role-playing elements Empires & Puzzles.
The investment round was attended by venture capital companies EQT Ventures Fund, Creandum, Spintop Ventures and PROfounders.
Small Giant Games intends to use the funds received for the development of Empires & Puzzles, the development of new games, the marketing promotion of studio products and the expansion of the team.
The company has opened 10 new vacancies. It requires game designers, artists, animation artists, data analysts and other specialists.
According to Timo Soininen, CEO of Small Giant Games, the studio intends to continue supporting Empires & Puzzles by adding new content to it and holding game events.
Empires & Puzzles was released last March and quickly became a hit. In 2017, the game earned $ 33 million and attracted an audience of 10 million people.
