Korean studio Com2uS released the mobile hit Summoner’s War back in 2014, but the game still brings a lot of money. To date, the title’s revenue has reached $2 billion.
The GamesIndustry portal shared successful financial results. He also reported an increased number of downloads of the game: from 2014 to 2020, users downloaded Summoner’s War: Sky Arena 116 million times. In February last year, this figure was 16 million lower.
“Summoners War: Sky Arena remains a major force in mobile gaming thanks to the constant stream of content updates from our dedicated development team,” said Kyu Lee, president of Gamevil Com2uS. “But more importantly, she does it thanks to our tireless fans.”
Koreans are going to continue developing the franchise. A comic book series in partnership with Skybound Entertainment, esports events and an MMORPG under development are being prepared for launch.
