Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment has announced its intention to conduct an initial public offering (IPO).

The studio’s securities will be put up for auction on the Nasdaq First North Finland exchange.

The company said that the funds from the IPO will be used for “development and covering the costs of developing and promoting games.”

Currently, the Finnish developer is working on the P7 project and is developing a sequel to the online shooter CrossFire together with the publisher of the original game, the Korean company Smilegate.

Remedy CEO Tero Virtala stated that his company aims to become one of the most famous gaming companies in the world.
