The monthly income of the developers of Walking War Robots, which was $255 thousand back in August 2015, reached $1.3 million last April.
This was stated by Pixonic CEO Philip Gladkov in an interview with Forbes. According to him, a significant part of the earned funds in the company is immediately put into marketing.
Initially, about 60% of the money earned went to working capital, and the remaining 40% to purchase users. Today, 25% goes to working capital, 60% to promotion, and another 15% to the development and marketing of new games.
From the interesting: initially Pixonic had a problem. They could not immediately put the earned funds into circulation, since Apple and Google do not immediately give away the earned money. Sometimes payments have to wait up to 60 days or more.
The way out was found thanks to cooperation with the “fast capital fund” Pollen, which offers developers money for the revenue they have yet to receive from the store. This allowed the company to quickly access funds for advertising on Facebook and Google. As a result, the user base of the game has grown by 300% in nine months.
