The PAYDAY 2 franchise revenues amounted to 23.7 million Swedish kronor ($2.6 million), according to a report by Starbreeze for the 1st quarter of 2017.
Another major Starbreeze title, the multiplayer horror Dead by the Daylight, earned 20.9 million Swedish kronor ($2.3 million) during the same time.
The total revenues of the Swedish developer during this period increased by 40% and reached 57.3 million Swedish kronor ($ 6.4 million).
Commenting on the results of the 1st quarter, Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint said that the company has almost completed the creation of three teams, one of which will create content for PAYDAY 2, and the rest will complete the development of network shooters OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead and Crossfire.
Clint also announced the imminent transfer of part of the production processes to outsourcing. To do this, Starbreeze acquires Indian developer Dhruva Interactive. According to Clint, this will reduce the company’s costs.
