Since the beginning of global sales on March 3, over 1.5 million Nintendo Switches have been sold, with almost 90% of consoles released bundled with the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
According to the analytical company SuperData, 500 thousand consoles were sold in the USA, 360 thousand in Japan, 110 thousand in France and 85 thousand in Great Britain. If Switch continues to buy as actively, Nintendo will reach the goal of 2 million consoles sold in the first month.
Together with them, 1.39 million copies of Zelda: Breath of the Wild were sold worldwide.
After a good start, Nintendo needs to keep users interested in its product with high-quality projects. The company took into account past experience: after the success of the new part of Zelda, the company announced the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe next month.
