In the first quarter of 2017, NCSOFT was paid $35 million in royalties from sales of the Lineage 2 Revolution mobile game.

This is the assessment of South Korean journalists from The Korea Times, who analyzed the NCSOFT financial report for January-March of this year.

The publisher himself does not say how much he was paid as deductions by Netmarble, which released Lineage 2 Revolution. The company only informs that in total it earned $57 million on royalties for the quarter.

In total, the company earned $211 million in the quarter. This is 1% less than a year earlier. Operating profit was $26 million. This is 60% less than in the same quarter a year earlier.

The company explains the drop in profits with premium payments after record sales last year.

In the first quarter of 2017, there was also a serious drop in sales of Lineage and Guild Wars 2 compared to the results of the first quarter of 2016. At the same time, the annual drop affected all the main projects of the company. However, sales of other titles (which ones, it is not reported) have grown significantly.
