In the summer, MY.GAMES and Google launched a business accelerator for mobile developers Game Drive 2.0. Now the companies have summed up the results. One of the finalists of the program was the Novosibirsk studio Game Maverick — it will receive an investment of 15 million rubles.

As a result of the deal with Game Maverick, the MY.GAMES investment division (MGVC) will own a minority stake in the studio with the right to control.
It is not reported with which project Game Maverick participated in the accelerator. But it is known that she is currently working on a word game “with deep meta-gameplay wrapped in a fascinating narrative story.” In total, the studio’s portfolio includes more than 200 titles, the most famous of which are Tank Battle 3D, Russian Trucks, Monster Truck Rally and Sawmill Truck Driver. In total, these four games have collected about 14 million downloads.
In addition to Game Maverick, nine more teams became finalists of Game Drive 2.0. Including studios from Germany, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Turkey. All of them received personal recommendations to improve their games.
In total, over 80 teams have submitted applications for participation in the accelerator. The total volume of the accelerator fund is $30 million.
Recall that for the first time the Game Drive took place in 2020. Then the organizers of the accelerator received 40 applications, of which 8 were selected. Including the creators of Warfronts: Battle For Toria!, Big 6, Wasteland Punk and Order of Fate participated in the first Game Drive.
Later in 2022, MY.GAMES and Google plan to host Game Drive for the third time. Details of the program have not yet been disclosed.
