Compared to the same period last year, the company’s revenue from MMO games increased by 9.1%, amounting to 4.5 billion rubles.

The growth rate of the company’s gaming segment, therefore, turned out to be lower than the overall revenue growth rate Mail.Ru Group (11.6%), the main driver of which was advertising revenue, which grew by 28.6% over the year.

The company’s most profitable game remains, according to Dmitry Grishin, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO Mail.Ru Group in Russia, Warface. As for the “Armored Warfare: Armata Project” and Skyforge launched last year, they are among our most profitable games this half-year.

Grishin also drew attention to the fact that “user retention rates, especially in the international market, were lower than expected.” He also noted not the most favorable trend in Russia: “currency fluctuations and the macroeconomic situation continue to negatively affect Russian consumers, and this has begun to affect our revenue from games. We believe that this situation will continue in the second half of the year.”
