The first game funded on the Fig crowdfunding platform — Kingdoms and Castles — brought profit to investors in the amount of their investments in the first two weeks of sales.

According to Fig, the game raised enough money to cover the initial investment before entering the platform in the first 48 hours after release. Over the next 2 weeks, the title earned over $ 1 million, recouping the investments of Fig-sponsors in double volume.

The campaign participants expect to receive revenue from the sales of Kingdoms and Castles for the next 3 years.

The simulator of the medieval year Kingdoms and Castles of the independent studio Lion Shield successfully completed the campaign on Fig in January of this year, raising about $ 109 thousand. The game itself was released in June.

According to Fig, since its launch at the end of 2015, the service has hosted three of the four largest campaigns to finance gaming projects among all crowdfunding platforms: Wastelands 3, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and Psychonauts 2.

The Fig crowdfunding service is designed to finance the development of video games. It allows campaign participants to profit from game sales if the project has been successfully sponsored and entered the market.
