In the second year of operation, the revenue of No More Robots increased by 350%. The company, founded by game critic Gamasutra, Kotaku and PocketGamer, earned $2 million on three released projects.

This is a small amount, but Mike Rose, its director and founder, is proud of the result.

“The last two years have been better than we could have hoped for,” he told PC Games Insider.

“[Our indicators] show that people really want to play strange and wonderful games — an operating system simulator, a project about Brexit or about extreme cycling.”

The company plans to continue publishing non-standard projects. Next up is Nowhere Prophet, a single-player game with collectible card mechanics, turn-based tactical battles and acid graphics.

No More Robots publishes PC games on the Steam platform. It is not reported how satisfied the teams themselves are with working with the publisher.
