In mid-May, the Archero game appeared in mobile stores. In a month, the development of the Singapore studio Habby not only collected more than 10 million installations, but also earned more than eight million dollars, according to the analytical service DataMagic.

What kind of game?

Archero is an arcade role—playing game with procedurally generated levels and an original approach to management.

The essence of the game boils down to the passage of numerous small levels-arenas. Monsters are waiting for the player at each level. They must be killed to open the next level.

Gold is poured out of monsters, which is then spent on the purchase of talents (permanent improvements). Gold within each individual passage also plays the role of experience. The more experience, the higher the level of the character. Each new level gives a temporary ability, active only within the framework of a specific passage.

A distinctive feature of the game is management. The user can only control the movement of the character with a single stick. When the character doesn’t move, he shoots monsters.

Accordingly, the gameplay is based on dodging opponents and finding the optimal time to shoot.

What about metrics?

The game has been in sotflonch since the end of March. The game was tested in Southeast Asia – in the territories of Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. On May 14, its iOS version began to be released to the world. On Google Play, the launch started a little later — on the 19th.

In the first 10 days since the release, the game has collected 1.7 million installations, and its box office was about $ 600 thousand. Since then, its daily download figures have reached a plateau of 320-330 thousand downloads per day. The cash register has also grown very much, which by June reached a plateau of $ 400 thousand per day.

At the moment, as we have already mentioned in the lead, the total downloads of the game have reached 10 million, and the revenue is $ 8.5 million.

Archero is one of the brightest and most promising mobile releases of the spring. There is a lot of hyper-casual products in its gameplay. At the same time, the game visually relies on Supercell products. As for her meta, she looks a bit like clickers.

The Habby studio project is another excellent proof that there is still a place for new original approaches to gameplay on the market.
