When Blizzard just announced Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft for iPad, there were those who doubted the success of the project. They say that the company does not understand anything about the mobile market and free-to-play: there is no experience. So it’s not worth waiting for success. 

However, everything turned out exactly the opposite. 

As Distimo recently reported, Hearthstone, despite the fact that its worldwide release took place only on April 16, was in 12th place in the global box office chart of iPad applications at the end of last month. Exactly between Slotomania HD and Microsoft Word.

What is curious: Russia brought a relatively significant profit to the game last month. Our country is in fourth place in terms of the amount of money generated. The States are on the first, China is on the second, and Great Britain is on the third.

If we talk about downloads, then Russia is in third place in terms of the number of installations generated in April. China is on the first, the USA is on the second.

We believe that the box office growth and the growth of downloads will only continue this month. 

Recall that Hearthstone was announced in March 2013. The “soft” launch of the project took place on April 3 in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. A little less than two weeks later, a worldwide release took place, which was very successful. Yes, Apple in the USA named Hearthstone the best game of April for iPad.
