Quarterly revenues of Japanese mobile developer GungHo Online Entertainment increased by 2.7% to $229 million compared to the previous quarter.

Despite the positive dynamics, GungHo’s revenues are 19% lower than in the same period last year.

The drop in GungHo’s financial performance is due to a decline in sales of its main mobile title Puzzle & Dragons.

However, in the first quarter of 2017, the publisher managed to stop the decline due to a number of events dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the game.

Thanks to them, by the end of March, Puzzle & Dragons downloads had reached 45 million downloads in Japan since the game’s release.

GungHo stated that it is currently developing 10 projects for mobile devices, consoles and VR, and its titles are focused on the global market.

The company also plans to expand its publishing activities.
