For another gaming company, 2020 turned out to be a success. In its latest report, the Swedish publisher with Russian roots G5 Entertainment shared its record achievements for the period from January to September. Among them — revenue of over a billion Swedish kronor ($ 117 million) and the growth of individual titles by 425%.

- In total, during this time, the mobile publisher earned SEK 1.02 billion or $117 million. This is 13% more than in the same period of 2019.
- EBIT increased by 146% compared to last year and reached SEK 137 million ($15.7 million).
- In addition, G5 Entertainment has reduced the cost of games by almost SEK 7 million ($81 thousand) relative to 2019. By this September, the company’s expenses amounted to only SEK 217 million ($25 million). A year ago, this figure was SEK 224.1 million ($25.8 million).
- At the same time, during this period, the revenue of games developed by G5 Entertainment’s internal studios increased by 72%, while the revenue of new—generation games (the company calls those titles that it launched in 2019 or later) increased by 425%. The most successful titles were Jewels of Rome, Jewels of the Wild West, Jewels of Egypt, Jewels of Mahjong and Match Town Makeover.

- The third quarter also turned out to be successful for G5 Entertainment. During these three months, its revenue reached SEK 332.4 million ($38.18 million), which is 10% more than the revenue of the third quarter of 2019.
- The MAU of the company’s frituplay games amounted to 6.8 million — an increase of 11% in annual terms.
- An average of 1.7 million people played G5 Entertainment titles every day — 6% more than at the same time in 2019.
- But the average monthly number of unique payers (MUP) fell by 5%. From June to September, only 212.4 thousand players per month were willing to pay the Swedish company.
- The most generous gamers were residents of North America — they generated 58% of quarterly revenues. European players are in second place — 21%. And the third place remained for users from Asian countries — 15%.
- 62% of G5 Entertainment’s revenue came from its own projects. For comparison, in the last quarter, games in this category were responsible for only 54% of revenue.
- In the period from July to September, three titles of the company were released worldwide at once: Hawaii Match-3 Mania, Crime Mysteries and Pyramid of Mahjong. Sherlock: Hidden Match-3 Cases has also been released in the soft launch for a number of countries.
