Electronic Arts’ revenue from digital sales in 2014 amounted to a record $2.18 billion for the company. Mobile games brought a significant part of this amount to the corporation.
For the third fiscal quarter of 2015, which ended on December 31 for the company, the company’s revenues from digital sales reached $693 million. Of these, mobile games account for $139 million, which is 13% more than in the previous similar period of time.
Electronic Arts’ mobile box office hits in 2014 were Madden NFL Mobile, FIFA 15 Ultimate Team and SimCity BuildIt. The latter appeared on iOS and Android in December, and in a short time gained 15.5 million downloads. According to the EA management, the title was among the top five most downloaded games in 100 countries.
