VR helmet owners have spent more than $100 million on app purchases in the Oculus store. This was announced by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg) in the framework of Oculus Connect 6.

Oculus Quest
20% of the specified income is received from sales of software for Oculus Quest.

The headset went on sale just four months ago.

It sells just as well as the apps: according to Zuckerberg, buyers are buying up new supplies very quickly. A number of developers at the event confirmed that with the advent of Quest, their sales in the Oculus store have increased. Quest, with its low threshold for entry into VR gaming, is probably coping with attracting new users.

Revenue data on applications for other helmets (for example, Rift or Go) Zuckerberg did not bring.

In general, sales in the Oculus store repel only a small part of Facebook’s investment in the VR industry. These investments, according to TechCrunch, are estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars. However, applications for Oculus helmets are sold, for example, also through Steam (but the exact revenue is unknown).
