The success of Monster Hunter: World has brought its financial performance to a record level.

- The publisher’s net sales increased by 28.3% year-on-year to $556.8 million. This is a record figure.
- Capcom’s operating profit also turned out to be a record. During this period, it increased by 92% to $121.7 million.
- The lion’s share of revenue was generated by the gaming direction. Its result for nine months is $434.4 million. This is 55.2% more than in the same period of the last financial year.
- In the gaming segment, the company earned $150 million in physical sales. Another $244 million is on digital downloads. Revenue from mobile content amounted to $15.4 million, and from online games for PC – $25.4 million.
- The circulation of Monster Hunter: World released a year ago exceeded 11 million copies. This is the best result among all the publisher’s games. Most of the copies sold were on the PC.
- For comparison: six million copies of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard were sold in two years.
- Capcom also highlights the successes of the following titles: Mega Man 11 and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary.
By the end of the fiscal year, Capcom’s revenue from the gaming segment could reach $718 million. Projected physical sales will reach $331.7 million, and digital sales will reach $332.6 million. The publisher plans to earn another $31.8 million on mobile content.
Recently, the aggregator Metacritic named Capcom the best publisher of the year. Moreover, just a year ago she was on the fifth line of the top of the most highly valued publishers.
