Marcin Iwiński, one of the founders of the Polish CD Projekt, became a dollar billionaire. He is the holder of the largest number of shares of the company, and now his entire package is worth $ 1.05 billion.
This is reported by the Respawn First portal with reference to the financial summary Bankier.pl . According to their data, on April 24, the value of CD Projekt shares reached $87 apiece. Ivinsky owns 12.1 million shares of the publisher, which makes him a billionaire, as well as number 9 in the list of the richest people in Poland.
In total, CD Projekt management owns 34% of the shares. The second largest holder of securities is another founder, Michal Kiciński. His capital is also close to a billion: Kichinsky’s shares are worth over $900 million.
We should add that this year CD Projekt managed to become the third Polish company by capitalization. At the same time, its games are not released every year and do not contain microtransactions.
The absolute hit of the publisher is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It became the main driver of CD Projekt revenue growth last year. Recall that by the end of 2019, title sales increased by 554% year-on-year.
