The volume of sales of Capcom products for the 2017 fiscal year amounted to $782.5 million.

This is 13.2% higher than the same indicator of the previous year.

The bulk of the amount was generated by sales of digital content. They amounted to $526.6 million, which is 11.7% more than in fiscal year 2016.

The company’s profit reached $79.7 million, an increase of 14.6% compared to the same period last year.

Most of Capcom’s revenue came from sales of large game projects.

Resident Evil: Biohazard sold 3.5 million copies, Street Fighter V sold 1.6 million copies, 1.7 million copies of Monster Hunter XX and slightly less than 1 million copies of Dead Rising 4 were also sold.

Capcom announced its intention to increase its presence in the mobile games market with the help of such major franchises as Monster Hunter.

In 2016, Capcom tried to launch a mobile title Monster Hunter Explore in the West, which had previously gained 3 million downloads in Japan. However, after two months of softlonch in Canada, the project was canceled without explanation.
