Quarantine for coronavirus has allowed to increase the metrics of many games. Brawl Stars are among them. Over the past week, her installations and revenue have grown noticeably.
Brawl Stars
This is reported by Pocket Gamer.
On March 15-21, according to App Annie, weekly downloads of Brawl Stars jumped by 35% compared to the average weekly value of this year. Revenue, in turn, increased over the same period to $8.4 million — by 40% in weekly terms, according to Sensor Tower.
Perhaps the reason is not only the coronavirus. Just last week, a new mechanic appeared in Brawl Stars — “Gadgets”, giving all fighters unique abilities. Gadgets fall out of loot boxes and are sold in the in-game store.
However, Brawl Stars is not the only Supercell game where players have started spending more money. Boom Beach‘s revenue also grew last week — by 21% in weekly terms.
It should be noted that against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic, the indicators of Pokemon GO, Plague Inc. and other projects have improved. For example, according to App Annie, mobile games saw a 25% increase in downloads compared to the average weekly figure for the year.
