The American company Big Fish, which once specialized in games in the genre of “I’m looking for”, demonstrated excellent financial performance in the first quarter of 2015.
In three months, it brought Churchill Downs Inc., which acquired Big Fish at the end of last year for $885 million, revenue of $91.9 million. The profit from this amount amounted to $20 million.
Most of Big Fish’s revenue – $45.3 million – came from social casinos (this is 67% more than a year earlier). Another $27 million – on casual free-to-play games (in the first quarter of last year, the amount was less — $21.3 million). The company also made good money in its traditional premium segment – $28.5 million, which, however, continues to stagnate (a drop of 28% compared to the same result a year earlier).
