In July 2018, the French publisher Gameloft released a new part of its racing franchise. She became Asphalt 9: Legends. The analytical company App Annie has estimated that to date mobile gamers have spent over $100 million in this game.

Asphalt 9: Legends received most of the amount from players from the USA, South Korea, China, Japan and Germany.

The title also turned out to be the third racing simulator by total box office in Google Play and the App Store for the first half of 2021. It was bypassed only by Need for Speed: No Limits and CSR Racing 2.

Note that in addition to mobile platforms, Asphalt 9: Legends is available on Nintendo Switch and PC. But how much the game earned there is unknown. By the way, Gameloft plans to release these races later on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

In April, the publisher reported that the total downloads of the Asphalt franchise reached one billion.
