Activision Blizzard’s revenues from October to December 2016 amounted to $2.01 billion. In total, the gaming giant raised $6.61 billion last year.

This was announced by the company itself in its report to investors.

Quarterly revenue growth in the fourth quarter of 2016 compared to the same period in the fourth quarter of 2015 increased by 42%, and annual revenue growth was 21%.

Of these $6.61 billion, half – $3.6 billion – came from the IAP. This is twice as much as at the end of 2015. Excluding King, IAP sales increased by 30%. All income is reported according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

“The launch of Overwatch [on the cover of the news] has created a new key franchise, and King’s advertising tests in mobile are very encouraging in terms of the basis of new significant sources of income,” commented Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard.

The company also reported:

  • the total quarterly MAU of all the company’s projects is 447 million;
  • quarterly MAU King – 355 million;
  • The average active King player spends 34 minutes a day.
