App Annie shared with App2Top.ru a list of the highest-grossing games developed by teams that were based in the post-Soviet space. The main selection criterion is that the game should have earned $25 million or more from January to June 2018. There were eleven such projects in total.
Four top games of the selection were created and launched by Playrix, whose history began in Vologda. All current blockbusters of the company consistently earn more than the threshold amount of $ 25 million.
It was also expected to see such games as War Robots (Pixonic/Mail.Ru Group), Seekers Notes (MyTona), Pixel Gun 3D (PixelGun Company), Cooking Fever (Nordcurrent) and Scatter Slots (Murka) in the top.
A pleasant surprise was the presence in the chart of the survival Last Day on Earth from the Volgograd studio Kefir and the ironic Hustle Castle, launched by the St. Petersburg branch Mail.Ru Group — Nord Studio.
As noted in an interview with App2Top.ru the representative of App Annie, the specified $25 million is not the income of projects, but Consumer Spend, the company’s revenue plus the share of the platform.
