Facebook has started discussing with third-party companies the possibility of integrating their mobile games with Messenger.
What kind of companies are these, how exactly the games will be integrated into the messenger (that is, whether we are talking about creating a full-fledged gaming showcase by analogy with KakaoTalk and Line or about some other type of interaction) – there is no information at the moment.
However, according to three sources of the electronic magazine The Information, to which Variety refers, discussions and meetings took place.
According to one of the speakers, Facebook’s attention is currently focused on content creation apps, but the company plans to give developers new opportunities based on their wishes.
In other words, the integration of games with the messenger.
Recall that in March of this year, Facebook officially announced support for the integration of third-party applications in Messenger. But at that time, it was limited to partnering with a small number of teams whose products allowed uploading photos, animations and short clips made in applications to Messenger.
If Facebook really takes up the integration of games with its messenger, the situation on the market will become more complicated. It’s already very difficult to get into the top downloads. All the leading places are occupied, as a rule, by social applications, and, for example, in the American store for Facebook, in fact, the top three lines in the Top 3.

In the event that games start receiving traffic from the social giant, there is a high probability that they will also get high places, which will allow Facebook to “occupy” the tops of the world’s tops and again significantly raise the cost of advertising.
