Unity now has the ability to integrate with Snapchat. This is an important step for both companies, which is designed to help mobile game developers and advertisers increase their reach and attract new users.New Opportunities for Snapchat Advertisers
Since yesterday, the Unity Ads toolkit has become available on the Snap Audience Network (SAN) advertising network.
Now advertisers will be able to launch and configure ads for display in mobile games via the SAN.
According to Unity Ads, the platform has 22.9 billion monthly ad impressions, which are seen by over 2 billion players. In this way, advertisers using SAN will be able to increase the reach of their campaigns and attract new users.
“As gaming becomes increasingly popular among Snapchat users, we strive to help retailers and brands reach as many members of the Unity gaming community as possible through Snapchat advertising campaigns,“ said Ben Schwerin, vice president of partnerships at Snap.
New opportunities for developersSchwerin notes that the Unity and Snapchat partnership will also help all Unity developers reach a wider audience, increase the visibility of their games and attract new users to their projects.
To do this, the Snap Kit toolkit is now available for free in the Unity Asset store, which has two important functions.
Using the Login Kit, you can add the ability to login to the game via a Snapchat account. This can simplify the registration process for new users, as well as allow you to save progress, use your nickname and Bitmoji (they promise to add support for them next year).
The Creative Kit tool allows users to share gameplay and game results on Snapchat. You can share both screenshots and a 15-second video. Developers will also be able to add unique stickers and AR elements to their games.
Now Unity Ads and Snap Kit integration works only in the USA and Canada. The companies will inform about the support of other countries later.
