As part of the Unity Analytics service, which is currently in the open beta stage, developers will be able to create heat maps of scenes from their games.

Functionally, this tool should work similar to how its Internet counterparts work: after the release and collection of the first information, the level designer enters the level editor and sees the scene of interest painted in many colors that characterize user behavior at the level.
The introduction of a heat map, in theory, will allow developers to solve problems related to the design of levels, quickly correct unsuccessful decisions on them.
According to John Cheng, Unity analyst and one of the founders of Playnomics, who presented the solution at Unity Europe 2015, the use of this service by the Ultrateam team in the Ultraflow project allowed to increase the completion rate of levels by 20%, increase the number of sessions by 200%, and also increase the user base by more than 2000%.
The function, like the service itself, will be officially released as part of Unity 5.2, the release of which is scheduled for this September.
