The Twitter microblogging service turned out to be the most effective platform for promoting PC and console games. He even bypassed a major advertising network from Google.

Gamesight conducted an analysis of several advertising networks. She used data from her own marketing campaigns for 2019. The networks were evaluated in terms of volume, reach and conversion of players, according to VentureBeat.

As a result , the rating was distributed as follows:

  • Twitter Ads;
  • CPM Star;
  • Google Ads;
  • Facebook Ads;
  • Reddit Ads.

The company explains the success of Twitter by the fact that it is used by a large percentage of potential gaming audience. For example, 40% of Americans are between 18 and 29 years old, many of whom may like video games. By the way, three years ago, the percentage of gamers on Twitter was already considerable: 65% of the audience of the social network.

The report also shows that the large Google Ads gave way to both Twitter and the less popular CPM Star. The latter even surpasses the other networks in terms of versatile coverage: the conversion rate in it was 4.3%. That is, 4.3% of users who saw the game advertisement reacted to it (for example, clicked). It is noted that the network showed itself in the best way in Germany and China.

Google Ads and Facebook Ads have become the leaders in terms of user volume. Although the conversion rate in them is lower, but the audience reaches millions of players who constantly use one or another advertising network.
