The New York startup Gondola launches an engine for estimating and changing the value of IAP (Dynamic Pricing Engine). It will automatically “adjust” the price of in-game purchases for each specific user.

The system first evaluates what the user is like: how much he “lived” in the game, what he most often spends his money on. Then it analyzes the data and issues a unique price for each IAP.

Let’s say you are a “whale” who likes to swing weapons, but is not friends with replenishing lives. You just don’t need them. The system from Gondola will slightly increase the cost of improving your favorite sword, and reduce the price of a restoring potion. But if you suddenly start buying this potion, then its cost will start to rise. If you are a beginner and have just entered the game, you will get everything at a price that will not scare you away, – so says the engine’s commercial.

The startup’s management claims that the system not only obviously increases the revenue of the game, but also increases the involvement of users, since it reduces the cost of pumping for beginners and uninterested players.

The beta of the engine has already shown that the revenue from the game increases by an average of 12%.

“By adjusting prices, we simultaneously create a unique gaming experience for each user. Both developers and players benefit,” says Andre Cohen, co-founder of the Gondola startup.”
