The British startup SuperAwesome has raised $7 million to develop a mobile advertising platform for children’s apps.

Only projects that are safe for children will be promoted through a mobile advertising network called AwesomeAds. The London-based company will check them for compliance with the requirements of the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and EU legislation.

Another problem that the grid is designed to solve is monetization. SuperAwesome claims that IAP offers are unethical towards children. Therefore, instead of them, children-oriented advertising will be shown in games and applications that will be distributed through the AwesomeAds network.

The money came from TMT, Twenty Ten Capital and Sandbox and Co. Investors who financed the company at previous stages also invested in the startup.

The project is in the closed beta stage.

SuperAwesome, recall, has already launched a similar platform – Kids Mobile Network – in 2013. It was assumed that it would solve the same problem, that is, provide children with games and applications free of IAP offers. The last mentions of the platform on the web occur in 2013.
