Poles from 11bit have released a tablet version of This War of Mine on the App Store and Google Play. The trailer, timed to coincide with the launch of the game on mobile platforms, turned out to be great: 11bit again chose great music.
For the third time in a row, 11bit manages to get into the top ten when choosing songs to promote This War of Mine.
Before that, the team had already managed to win the hearts of the players by choosing for the musical accompaniment of one of the videos the composition of Tadeusz Vozniak Zegarmistrz światła, a Polish classic written in 1972. The trailer has gained a total of more than 1 million views.
Even earlier, 11bit published a trailer for the game, the background of which was the introduction of the composition Pearls In Her Hair by the Hungarian band Omega (a cover with a new text on it was then made by the Scorpions – White dove group). On the official channel, the number of views of the video has reached almost 700 thousand.
Today 11bit published a new trailer. This time they chose the song Nights In White Satin by Moody Blues, which also fits the mood of the game very well.
It is clear that This War of Mine owes its success not to commercials at all. They alone are unlikely to get 83 points on Metacritic and 600,000 sales on Steam. However, the success of games consists of such a huge number of variables that it is impossible to predict which aspect of promotion has become the decisive drop, and therefore, if you invest effort, invention, creativity in the project and its promotion, it is always to the maximum.
