The App Analytics analytical tool in iTunes Connect has started showing the sources from which users switch to apps in the App Store.

“With App Analytics, you can find out how many users have discovered your app while browsing the App Store. This shows how your marketing and metadata affect downloads,” according to the developer section of Apple’s website.

App Analytics also counts users who have clicked through to the app page from a link in another app.

Apple explained that with the help of new features, app owners will be able to track the most effective marketing channels that bring traffic, downloads and app revenue to the App Store.
