Apple has added a video to the product page in the App Store. A similar honor was awarded to the game Clumsy Ninja, which is advertised with a minute trailer.

The first video preview was shown only in a special Editors’ tab Choice in the UK iTunes App Store on Thursday. Now this feature is available to other countries. The standard page of the game, which Apple advertised during the launch of the iPhone 5 last year, does not yet include a video.

The brand new Clumsy Ninja game was developed by NaturalMotion. This project is based on the simulation technology “Euphoria”, which is able to create realistic animation of the body. You can train, tickle, throw or tie your virtual ninja to balloons. All actions will eventually make the character more flexible and strong, so that he will be able to find his lost girlfriend Kira.

Although the video preview function is currently available only for one game, there is hope that this functionality will soon open up to developers of many other iOS games. With the help of video, developers will be able to demonstrate innovative gameplay, original interfaces, animation, visual chips, which is not always possible to convey through text, static graphics and screenshots.

It will not be easy for Apple to introduce videos for all products in the App Store, since there are now more than 1 million applications on this resource. Most likely, this feature will be offered only for new products. At the same time, developers will also be forced to strengthen the infrastructure of the store, which will have to work with a huge amount of traffic.
