Samsung is becoming more active in relation to Tizen: the Korean company is consistently preparing the ground for the promotion of the platform. In Unity in the course.
We have already written more than once that Samsung does not like to “put all the eggs in one basket.” But at the moment, when most of the company’s profits are brought by Android smartphones, this is how it turns out. Therefore, Koreans are looking for an alternative. Tizen, in the development of which they are actively investing, is one of them.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Unity, interested in expanding its own “sales market”, announced support for Tizen. Unity games whose developers are part of the Union Initiative will be released on this platform.
The latter is a kind of service that helps developers on Unity “transfer their projects to new markets, appear on new platforms and earn more money.” As the authors of the engine write: “we ourselves distribute games in new markets.”
In any case, it is already clear: if Samsung succeeds with Tizen, Unity developers will have no problems porting their games.
