News for those who feel sorry for the money for Unity and Marmalade, but do not feel sorry for their own time for experiments. The British company Turbulenz has made its HTML5 engine open.
According to the developers, it is possible to create both two-dimensional and three-dimensional games for PC and mobile devices. The engine is based not only on HTML5, but also on WebGL, TypeScript and JavaScript.
The libraries opened by the company already include: 2D and 3D graphics, physics, effects, sounds, network settings, animation, various renderers, leaderboards, profiles, multiplayer, metrics and other utilities.
You can download Turbulenz from this link.
At the moment, the engine “beats in the hearts” of three games: Save the Day, Score Rush and Polycraft.
PolycraftThe latter, however, the game is pretty slow in the browser version.
