Namco Bandai has announced work on an updated version of the main mobile game of the early 90s – Tamagotchi – for iOS and Android.

We’re not really surprised.

The very concept of the game is perfect for smartphones and tablets. Which, by the way, the authors of My horse are well aware of.

So the only question is: why did it take so long for those whose stage of growing up fell at the beginning of the 90s.

The concept of the game, we recall, is to feed a virtual creature in time, raise it, play with it, clean up after it. Sort of The Sims in miniature. The main feature of the project was that if Tamagotchi was not followed, he would die. Such rules forced the children, among whom the game was wildly successful, to take their responsibilities seriously.

In the new version, titled Tamagotchi L.I.F.E., everything will, unfortunately, not be so serious. In a game that has not changed much in appearance over 20 years, it will be possible to persist. So in case of the pet’s death, it will be possible to resurrect him.

Bandai does not announce the exact release date of the game.
