The Room Two project will go on sale for iPad on December 12, 2013, as reported by App Spy. It will not be easy for developers to surpass the original logic puzzle, which not only sold 1 million copies, but also received a BAFTA statuette.
The Room is a three–dimensional spatial puzzle. You solve puzzles, interact with items in the inventory. With the help of a special lens, you can see invisible objects made of special material on virtual platforms. The basic mechanics are built around this feature.
The authors admit that, despite favorable criticism, they understand the numerous shortcomings of the hit. They promise to fix all the disadvantages in the sequel.
“Our first game is far from ideal. It is simple, the action takes place in a limited world, and the passage ends too abruptly. In general, the game turned out to be short,” says Barry Meade from Fireproof Games.
This year, Fireproof Games has already tried to fix the finale of The Room by releasing a downloadable epilogue. In The Room Two, there will be no problems with the duration, and the gameplay elements themselves will be optimized and refined. Note that initially the sequel to the puzzle will be released only for iPad ($5).
