Mozilla CEO Gary Kovacs said that the Firefox mobile operating system will be available in Venezuela, Poland, Brazil, Portugal and Spain this summer.
Kovac, who is about to leave his post at the moment, said that the release will take place in June. When this platform will appear in the markets of developed countries, and whether it will appear there at all, is not completely clear.
Recall that Firefox Mobile OS is primarily focused on emerging markets, as well as Southern and Eastern Europe. It is assumed that the platform will work on budget solutions from Sony, LG, Arcatel and ZTE. In Europe, smartphones on Firefox will be sold by Telefonica.
