The pricing of the iPhone 5 from Russian resellers is based on the principle of “who is less”. It is unlikely that this can be called an artificial price reduction (it did not reach the real dumping and the price tag below the market), but the official price of the novelty has risen to the same level as the “gray”.
The price race began tonight, when literally in 9 hours the price of the iPhone 5 fell by 7 thousand rubles. Now in Svyaznoy, which not so long ago became a direct seller of Apple products, a novelty for 16 GB costs 28,900 rubles (this was the price at 14:00, at 15:00 the smartphone unexpectedly rose in price, its price is already 29,490 rubles). Exactly the same amount is asked by Euroset. On the “gray” market, the iPhone 5 can be found a little cheaper – from 25,690 rubles. For comparison, in the same re:Store smartphone costs 31,990 rubles, Vimpelcom has even more – 34,900 rubles.
Yesterday’s price drop on the iPad mini and today’s – on the iPhone 5 can not but rejoice. Another thing is paradoxical: the price of the iPhone of the previous generation remained unchanged. The iPhone 4S in Svyaznoy still costs 25,990 rubles, but in the “gray” market the device has become somewhat cheaper – the minimum price for the iPhone 4S is 19,450 rubles.
