Chinese publisher CocoaChina is proud to announce that the number of downloads of its mobile game Fishing Joy has exceeded the milestone of 100 million.

This project, developed by Beijing–based Punchbox Studios, was released for iOS in the spring of 2011, and for Android in early 2012.

The company also shared interesting statistics indicating a high level of involvement of virtual “fishermen” in the game. Referring to the Flurry analytical service, CocoaChina representatives stated that the average gaming session time in Fishing Joy is 2.5 times higher than the value of this indicator for a “typical” mobile game, and the number of users returning to the game is 8 times higher than the average. However, they refrained from specific figures.
