After the announcement of Cut the Rope 2, we contacted Semyon Voynov, creative director of ZeptoLab, and asked a couple of questions regarding the future release.
Semyon, however, immediately warned us that he would not be able to disclose most of the details about the new part. Until the full announcement, they are kept in the strictest confidence. However, it seems to us that we managed to find out something after all.
When asked whether the second part of the free-to-play model will be distributed, Semyon noted that “he cannot answer this question yet.” We heard the same answer regarding whether there will be tournaments, leaderboards, any PvP in Cut the Rope 2.
Since the company refuses to comment on these things at the moment, we are inclined to assume that in the new part, we will just see them.
But there will definitely be no three-dimensional graphics.
“Am Yum in Cut the Rope will be-still two-dimensional, but completely redrawn, and with much more animations (compared to previous games). We tried to make the game look like an interactive cartoon,” said Semyon.
