The start of sales of preview devices running on the Firefox OS platform turned out to be impressive. GeeksPhone sold out the first batch of smartphones in a few hours.

Earlier, GeeksPhone co-founder Javier Aguera claimed that his company would be able to produce up to 5,000 phones a day if there was demand. It looks like the Spanish company will have to rethink its business strategy.

The hype most likely arose due to the desire of developers to get a promising novelty as soon as possible and test the capabilities of Firefox OS in real conditions, outside the framework set by the emulator.

Firefox OS developers promise to please with regular updates. OC allows developers to create HTML5 applications with API access.

Have you already bought one for yourself? Or are you going to?
